My Lovely Kitchen:)

Helloooooo all of you darlin dears & fellow Gnomes:)

Miss Lamb Here...

....& I bring you my lovely kitchen:)

.....Or at least half of it, for your view pleasure:)

Here is my favorite Apron amongst the over 2 dozen I have hanging around the kitchen:)

....& I wear this apron while fetching fresh raw milk from down the road:) It is always good to have some empty milk bottles on hand:)

I have a few lovely pecan trees just outside of my door, and I have almost collected of 40 pounds from just one of them:)

Luckily the local Farm & Garden will crack them for you for just a quarter a pound:) Shelling though takes the longest ..

Most of my antiques are Dutch in my cottage farm house....& that is most obvious in my kitchen:)

One of my favorite pieces is my salt bowl:) My good friend Deann gave it to me:)

ooohhhhhh...& my adorable wooden plates:)

.......& my favorite two chairs:) they were hand painted by an old man in northern Montana according to my parents... the table they sit at was custom built for my parents when they got their first house:)

You can never have enough Tea Pots:)

......or Roosters:)

Here is my favorite pie plate, for obvious reasons:)

....& some canned jellies and such from the lat 2 years:)

I hope you all enjoyed my kitchen, and be looking for more posts about the lovely homestead:)

I am in full swing when it comes to getting ready for a great show at Cuppies & Joe just before Valentines day:) & of course I am hard at work on Gnome Granary :)

I send more love to you each than you could ever imagine:)

Days around the farm:)

Sleepy days at that.....

Hellooooo Darlin Dears:)

Well, I have a horrid cold.....that is what I get for trying to build raised beds out in the cold, and lug square bails from the barn as ice hits my face...the things i do for the Garden...oohhhh well.... it will be worth it in the spring.... first to plant.... Carrots!!!

But yes...I have a horrid cold, and before that I caught the Flu that was going around Okc, since i was up here for my birthday and everybody had it....

So....yes....i have been working hard on the farm, but doing so from my couch (glueing thousands of hearts onto boards made of maple and oak).....and the pets have been comical as usual....

Here we have Shotzie....Sleepy Shotzie :)

Then...we have the oohhh so meschevious Cotton....I walked from my studio to see water color footprints all over a old rug....huhh...I wonder who did it?:)

He was just fine that morn...all content at my art studio table...

Then....we have Rosie :) I just adore them all:)

But yes...I promise to post captures soon of my new work:) I promise I promise:)

The Need For Spring

Hello Gnomes and other lovely Darlin Dears,

I have a horrible time taking captures in the winter......

I work on plenty of big project such as poetry, books, quilts, instillations and now, a guest cottage....but with the lack of green and magical budding, I am not any good for capturing....

I am looking forward to THIS spring, more than any other...mostly because I have come to a point on the farm where I finally feel secure in establishing a full fledged and thriving garden....

In just a week, the ground will be tilled...

In just a few days, I will plant some spinach...

In just a few hours, I will create markers for my veggies....

I plan on selling at the Hobart Farmers Market this lovely year....it shall be splendid....I am even getting back into the craft of hand milling my own flour for sale..... I sew up sacks out of pastoral cotton, as they did during olden times:)

But, until spring is here and in full swing, I have created an artistic package for you all:)

"The Need For Spring Package"

To read all about it...click here my Darlin Dears:)

It is really very lovely:) so go take a gander!!:)

..............................................................

I wanted to start a new little blog bit.....I want to start capturing random images from around "Early Bird Acres" and post them often on my blog:) so here are a few...(and one from my birthday this past weekend in the city)..

Here is a corner of my desk:)

Here are some magnifying glasses for a soon to be project of mine :)

...& here is me kissing a baby Pygmy goat while up in lovely OKC for my birthday:) Thank you Hayley and Matt :)

...& thank you to all my friends and family that made my birthday a very special one....(Sam Crain...I am already using my book..I built a window flower bed this morn, with help from my Donkey Fred)....

So..I wish you all a lovely lovely Week and I shall be in touch very soon my loves:)

Gnome Granary Part II

Hellloooo my loves:)

So......here is how the progress on the cottage is going:)

I hope you folks adore it:)

The instillation of the windows is just sooo exciting....tedious...but wonderful and lovely:)

All of the large windows are 4ft by 6ft and have amazing screens :) They are all framed in Cedar:)

Again.... we are still working on cleaning up the place:) but even as I speak, it is ten times better:)

I had some amazing help:) & i adore the smaller windows we placed higher in the barn:)

The LW was painted by my Grandfather when he built the Granary :)

But yes...enjoy the captures...& I look forward to showing you phase 3 very soon:)
