Another lovely class at collected thread:)

Helloooo Darlin Dears, Meadow creatures that are looking forward to a good harvest moon (as am I) & the gnomes in my garden who were kind enough to not only pick all of my weeds, but then feed them to the pigs:)

this post is short today, but I wanted to inform you all that I shall be teaching another class over at collected thread this coming September :)

Helllooooo my Darlin Dears, Fellow lovers of life, Meadow creatures that nest in my mess of hair & the Gnomes who found it practical to use my goat as transportation,

Ooooohhh my goodness gracious:)

My pumpkins are simply doing wonderful!!!




After a whole inch of rain and a few days of the temp staying below 105, even the baby pumpkins are trying to make it:)



....& the givers of honey are really taking a liking to all of those lovely blossoms :)




My second pumpkin bed is looking glorious:)



I am raising 5 different breeds of pumpkins, including one all white pumpkin :)

I have great help in the garden...my animal help for the day was mostly Buster..



He sits patiently at my side while I pick weeds and examine vines for pumpkins that are on the verge of turning into carriages :)

But cotton did test my in-progress raised beds for walk-ability...




...I look forward to this new bed being done....just a few more layers of hay and manure to go:) Then I shall plant heirloom carrots and some fall gourds :)




But then, cotton got to tired and went to rest on the porch:)



...I also pose you a question my Darlin Dears...


Isn't it funny how water becomes heavy when you put a bucket around it:)

Oohhh my sweets....it has rained...FINALLY!!:)

less than a inch...but goodness gracious was it amazing:)

The wind picked up a bit and it did sadly snap one of my cucumber plants in half, but that is all...I was most worried about my sweet pie pumpkins....I have worked very hard on my pumpkin patch this year and I believe it shall create a lovely bounty this fall:)

Speaking of a lovely Indian summer, I sure hope the plants around Early Bird Acres live up to their full potential this coming few months, once our days dip under 110 Deggres ...

But.....

I have always had a few things going:)

I farm is still the land of milk and honey:) Here I am making cheese:)





...& goodness gracious have my cucs been doing lovely:)

Here is a bit of canning:)




Sweet basil was kind enough to give me some Sweet Basil flowers to put in my jars while making Sweet Pickles:)

I believe today I shall can some Okra:)

...& the sweet Rodger of the mountains is saving up some beeswax for me for some candle stick making...I would have been making them all summer, but goodness gracious...It is hard to think about Cozy candles in this kind of heat...ya know?

Anyways.... I just wanted to wish you joy in the garden this next coming few weeks:)

I believe I might be harvesting a few pumpkins this coming few days:) Oohhh there is nothing more yummy than a summer pumpkin soup :)
