In the spring, I love fresh asparagus. I love it blanched as it still tastes crunchy and green. I love the look of the tips...all fresh and green from the ground.
In late summer, I love fresh cantaloupe. I liken the flavor of a perfectly ripe cantaloupe to the scent of a rose.
Though Bear's favorite food seems to be dress hems, I'd have to say my favorite fruit or vegetable is the fruity-vegetable the tomato.
I was just thinking tonight that I hope the chambers of my heart are half as pretty as the rooms inside the tomatoes I was de-seeding for salsa.
Tomato,Peppers, okra (for homemade goulash)... However, my heart & soul constantly yearn for avacado...yummy green goodness!
Avocado has always been my favorite, even as a little girl. My mother claims it was because she ate them all the time when she was pregnant with me. Every year she gives me one on my birthday as a special treat :)
Pears are my favorite fruit...okra is one of my favorite veggies- my grandmother always made okra and had frozen okra already prepped to fry on hand.
I love cherries. Anything cherry is aces in my book! :)
